Why hello, I thought I'd pop in and say hi. Want to know some exciting news?? If the weather is nice on Sunday we will behaving a photo shoot!! YAY! So I'm just getting all the items ready. Well I better get back to steaming....

Day Dreaming

Why hello there, I hope you're having a fantastic Wednesday! I know I sure am, the sun is shinning, I have an iced coffee, and my head if filled with day dreams about this weekend. Thanks to the wonderful, one and only Kim I have Saturday off!! What's so exciting about having Saturday off you ask? Well, I'll be filling my day with thrifting, coffee, and giggles. I'm heading off on a trip to Brandon with my Mother and Cousin.
We went last year, and it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The BEST second hand shopping I have ever done.
I'm so excited to go that I've decided I'm going to make a new outfit for the trip :) { OK not a whole new outfit... just a new skirt to match a tank top I forgot I had }

I'll be sure to put up some photos of how it turned out! { I had to add my camera, new hat, and an iced Carmel macchiato :) }

I'm so excited to finally share a little something I've been working on for a week..... It's called The Necklace Project. It's a necklace I made that will be travelling to 6 amazing, beautiful, wonderful ladies this summer. It will travel to Norway, Australia, and all over North America. Each lady will have it for a week, take photos while wearing it, do a guest post on the blog, and then send it off to the next girl on the list!! {Think of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but with a necklace!}

I'll be doing the first post on Monday, and the necklace will be on its way to Norway!! :) YAY!

New Items

Today I got some rings made!! They are adjustable so they can fit anyone :) The Fabric Flower Rings are $8, and the Broken Plate Rings are $12.

I am SOOOOOOO EXCITED to share this video with you guys!! Back in March I wrote a spoken word piece, I had never wrote anything like it before and just expected that I would share it with a few people and that would be the end of it. The first few times I read it to friends I was SOOOOO nervous. I'm a very shy person and like to stay quite, so for me to read out something I had wrote was terrifying! Little did I know that my plan of just reading it a few times and being done with it wasn't going to happen.... After hearing it my one friend said we have to make it into a video. I loved the idea just as long as it was someone else acting, and speaking in it and not me. Well, that wasn't what he had in mind. So after a little bit of planning we set dates to record the video and audio. Now realize this, I was terrified to read it out in front of people but that was nothing  compared to how I felt about standing in front of a mic, and a camera. But slowly I began to get over these silly fears. I had to come to the realization that I didn't write this to get attention for myself, I wrote it so God would get the glory. And maybe it would touch the heart of someone who may watch it one day. It was amazing to watch the pieces fall into place once I realized God was in control of it, and how each of our different gifts fit so well together { writing, film making, making music.... } SO, after that long ramble I hope you enjoy the video!

Day 18:
The Last Time You Laughed Until I Cried Was....

I honestly can't remember the last time I laughed until I cried.... BUT I'll share one of the funniest stories I have!
So back in 2009 a friend and I went to South Africa to help out with World Vision. To put to words that trip is almost impossible it was unbelievably heart breaking, but yet sooooooooo amazing! We lived in these cabins that had a small kitchen, a sitting area, a bathroom, and 3 bedrooms. So we kept snacks in our little kitchen area ( mostly fresh fruit because it was the most incredible thing ever! Plums, and pears will never ever measure up to the one I ate there!) After a long day we walk into our cabin to find a note on our counter. The note read     " Sorry, Monkeys broke in and ate your food..."  Even just thinking about it I laugh soooo hard! Not everyone can say that there food was stolen by troublesome monkeys!  :) I hope while writing out yours it floods your mind with happy memories, and adds to making your Wednesday wonderful!

Why Hello...

Today has been a CRAZY busy day! But I got lots done around the store :) PLUS Monique from http://www.pocketfulwhimsy.blogspot.com/ is in right now designing the new window display! I'm super excited to see what she puts together! I'll have pictures up with in the next few days of the display!

Day 17

Day 17 : I've decided to make a prayer list for today.

~Springspiration Craft Challenge~

I was so excited when Monique from http://pocketfulwhimsy.blogspot.com/ asked if I would like to be part of her Springspiration Craft Challenge! She sent out a (very cute) little package of craft supplies to 5 of us (all who which have blogs). Gave us a few weeks to put together a DIY project with our supplies, and now it's time to show off our lovely projects! For my project I decided to make a paint brush holder. So here goes mine, I hope you enjoy it!

These were the supplies I had to use.

I started by folding over the top, and sewing it down.

I figured out how much a would need to fold the bottom in.

Than I sewed it down.

Once the bottom was sewn, I folded it in half and left 1.5 open across the top.

I made sure it was even across, pinned it in place, and sewed up each side.

I went and decided where I would want each slot placed. ( I left extra room at one end, you'll see why )

I sewed each slot

I took the doily, and sewed half of it on the end where I left extra room.

I put my brushes in, rolled it up, and figured out where I would need to put my button.

I made a button hole on the other half of the doily and stitched around it to keep it from fraying.

And there you go, a handy dandy brush holder!

I'm thinking I will make another to put my make-up brushes in.

I have failed at keeping up on the blog last week! I'm soooooo sorry! It was a crazy week! so here are the Project 30 posts I misses last week
Day 10 - Write out your perfect date night idea. Now for this one I decided to plan out a girls night instead. It was really fun, plus now I have something to fall back on if we can't decide what to do one night :)
Day 11- Draw a guide to your City. This one super fun :) I made mine look like a mini treasure map listing all my favorite places to go in Estevan.
Day 12- What can I do to make my week happier?
Day 13 - My Ridiculous Insecurities.
Day 14- I am....    For this one I thought it would be good to list everything I like about my personality after listing my insecurities.
Day 15 - My favourite Music
Day 16 - My favourite Recipe.

Mother's Day Gift

I hope you all had a FANTASTIC weekend! I sure did :) I was so excited to give my mom her Mother's Day gift. I took an old door, put chicken wire in where the screen was, and painted some clothespins white. Now she has a photo holder mad out of an old door :)

I usually don't get a case of the  Monday's but today I sure have them. {I'm blaming the icky, grey sky for them} So I thought for today it would be good to list what's irritating, bothering, and stressing me out. Maybe if they are written out I can try to improve them :)

I completely forgot to put up Day 4 of Project 30 yesterday. Sorry!!
Day 4: List a few Goals that you have for this month. I find that if I make a list and can check items off as I go it helps me stay on track.
So one of my goals is to re-decorate my bedroom.
Day 5: Write a poem. It sounds a little silly, but it could be fun! You don't have to show anyone it so why not give it a try :)

New Window Display

For the months of May and June there will be ladies from around town designing the display window at the store! Each one of these fantastic women write blogs, and will be doing a few guest posts on my blog as well.
